The final stage of the IEAT 2024 Resident Professors’ Showcase, rescheduled for October 8, 2025, will feature two presentations in the Baesse Auditorium (Fafich) at UFMG. Registration is not required and the event is open to the general public.

At 9:30 a.m., Professor Marcos Callisto de Faria Pereira, from the Institute of Biological Sciences (ICB), will address the topic “Sustainability of Aquatic Biodiversity in a Changing Planet.” Then, at 10:30 a.m., Professor Maria Inês de Almeida, from the School of Letters, will speak on the topic of her research, “For an Organic Aesthetic: The Living Book.”

The event is part of the IEAT 2024 Residents’ Showcase, an initiative that brings together the eight professors participating in last year’s program to share their research findings. The aim is to highlight the transdisciplinary nature of the studies developed, which range from biodiversity and artificial intelligence to reflections on gender, democracy, and language.
