For the past 30 years he has served as an environmental consultant to the British weekly magazine New Scientist. His many books include The New Wild (listed as one of the books of the year by the Economist in 2015) and When The Rivers Run Dry (listed among the 50 best environmental books of all time by Cambridge University&#8217;s Sustainable Leadership Programme).
