He is a Full Professor at the Department of Theory of Education and Artistic and Physical Education of the Institute of Education of the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal), and Collaborating Professor at the Institute of Psychology of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP). He has regularly participated in numerous academic-scientific activities in Spain, France, Romania and, most especially, in Brazil.
