He holds a PhD in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in the United States (2004). As a Full-Time Professor at UFMG since 1997, in addition to numerous academic representations, he coordinated the Research Advisory Center of the School of Education and assumed the Pedagogical Coordination of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation.
