To foster technological culture, and especially biotechnology, within the humanities\u2014a process underway in Brazil and worldwide, though still in its infancy\u2014most of the presentations\u2014as in previous colloquia\u2014were led by experts in the humanities and social sciences (anthropologists, philosophers, sociologists, demographers, lawyers, and psychologists).
