A graduate of the \u00c9cole des Hautes \u00c9tudes Commerciales de Paris (HEC Paris) and with doctorates in Management Sciences and History from the University of Paris-Dauphine and the EHESS, under the supervision of Claude Lefort, he is considered one of the most influential thinkers on contemporary democracy. His work examines the transformations of the State, the crisis of representation, and the challenges to democratic legitimacy in current societies.<\/p>\n<p>Author of fundamental works such as<em>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ateliedehumanidades.com\/produto\/combo-o-seculo-do-populismo-a-contrademocracia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">La Contre-d\u00e9mocratie<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(2006),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ateliedehumanidades.com\/produto\/a-legitimidade-democratica-de-pierre-rosanvallon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>La L\u00e9gitimit\u00e9 d\u00e9mocratique<\/em>\u00a0(2008)<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ateliedehumanidades.com\/produto\/combo-o-seculo-do-populismo-a-contrademocracia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Le Si\u00e8cle du populisme<\/em>\u00a0(2020)<\/a>, Rosanvallon is recognized for formulating concepts that expand the notion of democracy beyond voting, incorporating citizen oversight, institutional impartiality, and political reflexivity.
