Esta regi\u00e3o \u00e9 reconhecida pelo investimento na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de mat\u00e9ria-prima para alimentos. A gradua\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 composta por disciplinas das \u00e1reas b\u00e1sicas, especificas e profissionalizantes.<\/p>\n<p>O profissional \u00e9 preparado para atuar nas \u00e1reas de fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o, armazenamento, transporte e comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o dos produtos aliment\u00edcios, cuidando do processamento de mat\u00e9rias-primas b\u00e1sicas como leite, carnes, cereais, frutas e hortali\u00e7as, pescados, \u00f3leos e gorduras, a\u00e7\u00facares, dentre outras. Quem se gradua em Engenharia de Alimentos pela UFMG ter\u00e1 a oportunidade de atuar nas \u00e1reas de industrializa\u00e7\u00e3o de alimentos, planejamento e projetos agroindustriais, an\u00e1lise e
