This is the critical point of connection with the concepts of collection management and conservation held in high esteem by institutions such as this museum. Whether resulting from research, donation, or decision, at the collector-museum, of the curator who selects works, acquisition will always be controversial, particularly in view of contemporary media and procedures with their different supports, ranging from perishable to virtual. In the same way, institutional exhibition standards are placed in check when an organization exposes the library and its methods to visitors, suggesting the displacement of the viewing public to ensure full comprehension of the work. So, what the work asks of the viewer is not contemplation, but an inquisitive, exploratory, and reflective approach. The dialog it establishes with other exhibits sharing the museum space points to the diversity of options in this permanent collection that discover different shared features through relations of contiguity.
