Check-in
Check-in is the delivery of the documentation needed to register at the university, once the foreign student has arrived in Brazil. The deadline for submitting the documents is announced in the International Student Orientation Week (SOEI). Here is the list of documents required:
1- Digital copy of passport (identification sheet)
2- Digital copy of VITEM IV student visa (or relevant visa)
3- Digital copy of health insurance
4- Digital copy of the National Migration Registration Card (CRNM)
5- Digital copy of the Individual Taxpayer's Register (CPF)
6- Proof of enrolment at UFMG
7- Digital copy of diploma (only for postgraduate students)
8- Proof of address in Brazil
Note: For exchange students of Brazilian nationality, additional documents may be required. If you have any questions, please contact the International Admissions Office.
Enrollment
Enrollment, on the other hand , must be carried out by the students themselves, at the Collegiate of the course or Program to which the international student will be linked at UFMG, on a previously scheduled date and time, within the deadlines established by the university. The enrollment period usually takes place after UFMG's International Student Orientation Week (SOEI).
Enrollment guarantees a reserved spot in an official academic activity at UFMG. Only after completing their enrollment do international students regularize their academic status at UFMG and gain access to the university's facilities, including most university libraries, the University Sports Centre (CEU), and the University Restaurants (with a student discount), among others. Enrolment is, above all, the official academic link between the student and the university, and is therefore a necessary condition for taking credits at the university of origin. You therefore need to be aware of the deadlines for enrolling in the subjects of your desired courses.
ATTENTION!
Enrolment in the subjects selected by the international student in their study plan approved by UFMG will be subject to the availability of places.
