Rafael Laboissière is a researcher at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), in France. Graduated in Electronic Engineering from ITA, in São José dos Campos, SP, he did a doctorate in speech sciences at the Speech Communication Institute in Grenoble, where he worked with linguists and phoneticists. He directed the junior research group “Sensorimotor Coordination” at the Max-Planck Institute for Human Brain and Cognitive Science in Munich, where he lived with experimental psychologists. Back in France, he is currently working at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center, where he interacts with physicians, physiologists and neuroscientists. He develops collaborations with several UFMG units, emphasizing transdisciplinary studies in speech and human motor control.
