The Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies – IEAT – holds an Annual Seminar every year. The paths of transdisciplinarity within UFMG, future perspectives and projects and the results of the projects developed by the Institute’s resident professors were the theme of the IEAT 2015 Seminar, which took place on March 26 and 27, 2015.
The event was opened by Jaime Arturo Ramírez, rector of UFMG, Ricardo Hiroshi Caldeira Takahashi, Pro-Rector of Undergraduate Studies at UFMG, and Estevam Barbosa de Las Casas, Director of IEAT. Following the activities, the Seminar was attended by former directors of the Institute and the director of the Latin American Institute of Advanced Studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, professor José Vicente Tavares dos Santos. Round tables were held around issues linked to the dissemination of transdisciplinary practices within UFMG and lectures on the “Project for transversality in teaching at UFMG” and “Non-face-to-face teaching at UFMG”.
On the second day, activities were concentrated in three locations. In the morning, the “IEAT Residents Workshop” took place in two schools and in the afternoon the event was concentrated in the Rectory Auditorium, where reports of the sessions were held: “Perspectives and future projects of the IEAT”, with the presence of Sandra Regina Goulart Almeida, Vice-Rector of UFMG and the members of the IEAT steering committee.
