The Portuguese as an Additional Language course will be offered at UFMG SSBS during the two-week program, four days a week, for international students. Students will be divided into four groups as described below:
- Groups 1: Students with little or no knowledge of Portuguese will take the course Portuguese as an Additional Language – Elementary.
- Groups 2: Students with some knowledge of Portuguese will take the course Portuguese as an Additional Language – Basic.
- Group 3: Spanish-speaking students with little or no knowledge of Portuguese will take the course Portuguese as an Additional Language – Basic for Spanish Speakers.
- Group 4: Students with considerable knowledge of Portuguese will take the course Portuguese as an Additional Language – Advanced.

Workload: 20 hours.
Assessment: Students will be evaluated through a variety of activities, including written exercises, tests, and oral production tasks.
