Synopsis (by the authors): We are presenting a mosaic presentation, a conference conceived and executed by three authors, resulting from a work in progress in which we will engage in dialogue (through approximations, tangencies, contrasts, deviations, interferences, and other forms of interaction) with various images of life, death, and life-and-death, produced by us and/or freely extracted from the Visual Arts, Architecture, Literature, Literary Criticism, Philosophy, Social Sciences, Psychoanalysis, and other fields, whether related or negatively related. For this dialogue, we propose some matrices to develop: the life and death drive; the here and now; childhood; the anarchist drive; poetry; vitality and risk; the legacy of time; Jungian archetypes and tarot images; unsustainable death; The figure of Antigone; social media profiles of the dead and living; the montage.

Speakers: Professor Ana Paula Paes de Paula holds a PhD in Social Sciences from IFCH-UNICAMP (2003); Luís Alberto Brandão is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Letters at UFMG; and Patricia Franca-Huchet is a Full Professor, Researcher, and Artist at the School of Fine Arts at UFMG.
