The 2nd Transdisciplinary Workshop: Environmental Governance and Water and Energy Sustainability, as part of the Positive Net Impact Project: Biotic Integrity and Participatory Monitoring at Furnas HPP, in partnership with UFMG, aimed to reflect on the impact of human action on the Furnas Hydroelectric Power Plant, located between the cities of São José da Barra and São João Batista do Glória, in the state of Minas Gerais. In a hybrid format, the workshop took place in person at UFMG and featured online broadcasts, bringing together the project team, national and international experts to present preliminary results and discuss innovative strategies for conserving biodiversity and ecosystem services.
The event is organized by the Benthos Ecology Laboratory linked to the General Biology Department of the ICB, and is financed by Eletrobras and supported by the Support Foundation (Fundep) of UFMG and IEAT.
