The Transdisciplinary Olhares Conference Cycle was organized by professor Ana Paula Paes de Paula, from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at UFMG, and sought to expand the discussion on transdisciplinarity within the scope of UFMG, the focus of her work during her participation in the Resident Professor program at IEAT , between March 2014 and February 2015.
An initiative of the Center for Critical and Transdisciplinary Organizational Studies (NEOCT) of the Center for Postgraduate Studies and Research in Administration (CEPEAD) – UFMG in partnership with IEAT, the conferences brought together – around themes – UFMG professors, students and also professors from other Brazilian universities.
The event sought to share perspectives on epistemology, dialogicity in management, social participation and subjectivity, in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspectives, in order to stimulate reflection on new paths for teaching and research at Brazilian universities. Four meetings were held, around the themes: Images of death; The subject in Foucault and Lacan; Complexity and Interdisciplinary Research; and Subjectivity and Critical Theory.
