Júlio Emílio Diniz is a Full Professor at the School of Education (FaE) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He holds a PhD in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in the United States (2004). As a Full-Time Professor at UFMG since 1997, in addition to numerous academic representations, he coordinated the Research Advisory Center of the School of Education and assumed the Pedagogical Coordination of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation. He has participated in GT8 (Teacher Training) of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (ANPEd) since 1993 and is the editor-in-chief of Formação Docente – Brazilian Journal of Research on Teacher Training, an electronic journal of GT8 of ANPED.
