About the Circle:
Objective:
To analyze and understand the training of undergraduate teachers, based on the pedagogical relationship and the bonds that are built in this dialogue encounter, a constituent element of the “third space”, an environment marked by the interaction of knowledge.
Specific objectives:
To map and critically analyze the territories where schools are located, considering their sociocultural, historical, and economic dimensions. – To investigate and systematize the pedagogical practices and professional knowledge of teachers working in these spaces, promoting the articulation between theory and practice. – To analyze, monitor, and systematically reflect on the process of initiation into teaching of undergraduate students, observing their expectations regarding field practices and their interactions with school contexts. – To establish comparative analyses between the initial planning and the expectations proposed by the undergraduate students and the dialogue with the practical reality experienced in the pedagogical interaction. – To reflect on the concept of “Third space” in light of the contributions of Freirean thought on dialogue.
Actions:
- Establishment of Training Centers
Creation of study and practice groups that integrate undergraduate students from different areas, promoting interaction between knowledge and experiences. Selection and Composition: Three groups will be formed, each composed of 24 students from the courses of Pedagogy, Literature, History, Geography, Physical Education and Social Sciences.
Geographic Distribution and Partnerships:
Center 1: Linked to the Giovanini Chiodi Municipal School and the Francisco Sales da Silva Diniz Municipal School, in the Vargem das Flores Region.
Center 2: Linked to the Herbert José de Souza Municipal School, in the Northern Region of Belo Horizonte.
Center 3: Linked to the Rubem Costa Lima Municipal School, in the Macacos Region (Nova Lima). - Mapping and Diagnosis of School Territories
Understanding the historical, socioeconomic and cultural context of the communities where the schools are located, identifying challenges and potentialities that influence pedagogical practice. - Development of Training Practices
Establishment of activities that accompany and support the initiation to teaching, integrating academic knowledge with practical experiences in partner schools: – Observation and analysis of pedagogical practices carried out by teachers in partner schools. – Creation of pedagogical strategies that integrate community knowledge and professional teaching knowledge. – Reflection on the role of the teacher in the construction of inclusive and contextualized educational practices.
