Between July 4th and 6th, the 1st Luso-Brazilian Tourism and Literature Seminar will be held. The initiative aims to promote exchange between the Brazilian and Portuguese scientific community, exploring the intersections between tourism and literature, their impact on regional development and the appreciation of cultural heritage.
The meeting will be attended by professor Silvia Quinteiro, from the University of Algarve, responsible for implementing literary routes in Portugal and Spain. Professor Sílvia Quinteiro is visiting UFMG, as a guest of the Cátedras FUNDEP/IEAT program. Professor Patrícia Kauark, director of IEAT, will participate in the closing panel. About the event
Recognizing the tourist and creative potential of Minas Gerais’ literary legacy, this first edition will take place in the city of Cordisburgo, Minas Gerais, the birthplace of writer João Guimarães Rosa. The activities will take place at the Tourist Assistance Center (CAT).
The seminar is open to the participation of academics, undergraduate and postgraduate students, professionals from the public and private sector and others interested in the topic.
