The Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies (IEAT) at UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais) announces the call for applications for a postdoctoral fellowship to work in the Chair of Alternatives to Neoliberal Capitalism. Interested candidates should apply between January 6th and 13th, 2026.

To be eligible, applicants must hold a doctoral degree from a recognized national institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation, obtained between 2020 and 2025, in one of the following areas: Political Science, Sociology, or Social Sciences.

Candidates must demonstrate academic performance and scientific production related to the theme of “alternatives to neoliberal capitalism,” with an emphasis on theoretical studies of the neoliberal tradition and its development and formation in Brazil. The fellowship will be valid from February 2026 to January 2027, with a commitment of 20 hours per week.

Announcement of candidates selected in the first stage: January 16th, 2026
Interviews: January 19th to 23rd, 2026
Preliminary results: January 26th, 2026
Deadline for appeals: January 26th to 30th, 2026
Final results/approval: February 2nd, 2026
