The IEAT/UFMG Resident Professor Program aims to serve as a tool for the development of advanced research projects with a prominent transdisciplinary nature, approved and hosted by the IEAT, and is intended to welcome professors and researchers from within UFMG.
Six positions will be offered to faculty members who contribute to human resource development and research productivity in the areas of Humanities, Literature, and Arts; Life Sciences, including Health; and Natural Sciences and Technologies. Successful candidates will complete their residency at the institute between March 2 and December 31, 2026.
New to this edition, priority will be given to research projects related to the Human and Non-Human theme. The choice of theme responds to a highly relevant contemporary debate and invites research that explores the limits and frontiers of the human in the face of the transformations promoted by science and technology, as well as the recognition of other modes of existence – animals, ecosystems, things, machines, technical objects, and hybrid collectives. Defining a common theme also aims to enable greater interaction among residents. Other topics may be presented, even if they don’t have the same priority.
