The call for applications for the Short-Term Chairs program, promoted by the Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies (IEAT) and funded by the UFMG Support Foundation (Fundep), is now open. Applications are open from September 1st to October 31st, 2025.
Three positions are offered to researchers with significant seniority, notable international recognition, and experience in transdisciplinary fields, capable of collaborative work with UFMG researchers and research groups.
Effective now, the FUNDEP/IEAT Short-Term Chairs program welcomes researchers for a 30-day stay at UFMG. Nominations for international researchers for shorter periods should be submitted through the FUNDEP/IEAT International Visits Program, through a call already published on the IEAT website.
The FUNDEP/IEAT Short-Term Chairs program seeks to encourage the presence of internationally renowned foreign researchers at UFMG, fostering interaction with local research groups, encouraging the transdisciplinary nature of studies, and strengthening UFMG’s internationalization.
Applications must be submitted by UFMG faculty members, currently practicing, with a doctoral degree and proven experience in areas with transdisciplinary potential. The applicants, if approved, will host the professors during their stay at the University.
