The Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies (IEAT) at UFMG announces its call for applications for a postdoctoral fellow to serve on the IEAT Darcy Ribeiro Chair: Sovereignty, Education, and Politics. Interested parties must apply between July 10 and August 15, 2025.

To apply, candidates must hold a doctoral degree from a recognized Brazilian institution or an equivalent foreign institution, awarded between 2015 and 2025, in one of the following fields: Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology, History, Philosophy, Education, Economics, Literary Studies, Law, or a related field. Furthermore, candidates must demonstrate academic performance and scientific production related to the Chair’s theme and be available to dedicate themselves exclusively to postdoctoral work. Brazilian candidates must be fluent in English or Spanish, and foreign candidates must be able to communicate in Portuguese.

The scholarship will be valid from September 2025 to August 2026, with full-time dedication at the IEAT/UFMG headquarters, on the Pampulha campus of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in Belo Horizonte.

Application period: July 10 to August 15, 2025.
Valid applications announced: August 18, 2025.
List of selected candidates for interviews announced: August 22, 2025.
Interviews held: August 25 to 27, 2025.
Final results: September 2, 2025.
