The call for the FUNDEP-IEAT Chair program is now open, promoted by the Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies (IEAT) and financed by the UFMG Support Foundation (Fundep). Submissions can be made until December 13, 2024.

The FUNDEP/IEAT Chair program aims to contribute to the advancement of transdisciplinary research at UFMG and encourage the presence of internationally renowned researchers at the University. The chair also aims to promote the interaction of these researchers with groups at UFMG, encourage the promotion of research in collaboration with researchers and research groups abroad and encourage the development of actions that generate international publications and events.

Registrations can be made in visitor (duration from 3 to 12 days) and resident (duration from 15 to 30 days) modalities. For the Visiting Chair, financial support will be granted through the payment of daily allowances of R$ 1,000.00, proportional to the period of the visit. As for the Resident Chair, a scholarship of a maximum of R$ 28,000.00 will be paid, this amount being also proportional to the period of stay of the chair at UFMG.

Applications must be presented by UFMG professors, with proven experience in the area of ​​knowledge of the nomination and in a field of work with transdisciplinary potential. The proponents of the nominations, if approved, will host the professors at the University.

The nomination form and required documents must be sent by email to editais@ieat.ufmg.br, from September 9th to December 13th, 2024. In the “Subject” field, write: Candidatura Cátedra FUNDEP 2024 – “name of indicated”.
