One of the great thinkers of today, his work has developed a continuous reflection on the coexistence of indigenous worlds with the non-indigenous world in contemporary Brazil, in dialogue with diverse experiences in Latin America and the world. It has been promoting a powerful critical inflection on the challenges of this coexistence, as well as highlighting the lessons that the indigenous worlds and their ways of life have to offer for the construction of a possible future. Based on this position, at the meeting he proposes to question the proposals, disseminated internationally, which are presented as a horizon of common agreement regarding the quality of life for all peoples, and which find incisive expression in actions deployed at the local level, situations that directly affect many of the indigenous peoples of Brazil and Latin America.
