The Institute of Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies at UFMG is member of the University-Based Institutes for Advanced Study (UBIAS). The UBIAS network, started in 2010, currently brings together more than 50 institutes of advanced studies around the world, and has the proposal to promote an environment for the exchange of experiences between researchers from different areas, cultures and backgrounds, creating a productive space for innovative research. In addition to scholarship programs at different academic levels (junior and senior researchers), the UBIAS network holds biennial conferences and joint programs between its member institutes.
