The Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies – IEAT makes public that, from September 19th to December 15th, 2023, applications for the Chairs Program administered by IEAT and sponsored by FUNDEP – Research Development Foundation.
Professors of recognized seniority or internationally recognized, who carry out transdisciplinary research, may participate in the Program upon recommendation from researchers or research groups at UFMG, who will be their hosts, responsible for welcoming and inserting the guest into the university environment.
The chairs will be implemented between May 2024 and April 2025, during the academic period, in accordance with the UFMG academic calendar, in one of the following modalities:
Visiting Chairs: with a minimum duration of 7 and a maximum of 15 days of stay at UFMG, intended for visits by researchers of recognized seniority. The activities to be developed by the professor must include conferences, lectures and work meetings.
Resident Chairs: with a minimum duration of 30 and a maximum of 60 days of stay at UFMG, intended for researchers with international recognition in their line of research and who develop collaborative work with Resident Professors from IEAT or consolidated research groups from UFMG.
The activities to be developed by the professor must involve collaborative work in research, short-term seminars and/or subjects that demonstrate involvement with undergraduate and postgraduate students at UFMG, in addition to conferences, lectures, work meetings and/or short courses .

The result will be announced on February 20, 2024, through an official letter and other IEAT communication channels.
