Dr. Fiona Macaulay is a professor in the Department of Peace Studies at the University of Bradford, England. Previously, she was a professor at the Institute for the Study of the Americas (University of London) and a researcher at the Center for Brazilian Studies (University of Oxford) and Amnesty International. This previous experience is reflected in its main areas of research, which are: Latin America, particularly Brazil; reform of the criminal justice system (mainly public security and the prison system); human rights; gender; influence of organized civil society on policies in these areas.
