Jacques Theureau holds a Degree in Engineering from de l’École Centrale des Arts & Manufactures (Paris) and a Doctorate in Engineering in Ergonomics from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM). His research focuses on the study and analysis of human activities and ergonomic design, based on several contracts with the private sector in various fields of human work: hospitals, agriculture and artisanal fishing, computerized traffic control offices (air and rail ), nuclear reactor control, telephony, driving machines, use of products, home automation, passenger information, studies on sports (sports activities, education and training) and education (activities of teachers and students), and more recently, studies on musical practices (composition, performance, conducting and reception).
