The Darcy Ribeiro Chair: Sovereignty, Education and Politics, from the Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies (IEAT) at UFMG, is accepting applications for the selection of 1 (one) researcher for a post-doctoral fellowship. Submissions can be made from January 13 to 26, 2025.
To apply, you must have a doctorate degree from a national institution or equivalent obtained from institutions abroad, in the areas of anthropology, political science, sociology, history, philosophy, education, economics, literary studies, law or related areas.
The selected scholarship holder must develop their work plan with a view to delving deeper into issues related to the themes of Sovereignty, Education and Politics, from March 2025 to February 2026, on a full-time basis, at the IEAT/UFMG headquarters, located on campus Pampulha of the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
The postdoctoral fellow selected by the program must work in planning the Chair’s initiatives, developing research, organizing meetings and lecture cycles, in addition to collaborating in the eventual offering of a discipline in the second semester. The work will also include continuous interaction with the Chair’s coordination, including regular meetings and the organization of administrative, cultural and academic activities, support for the reception of the senior professor linked to the Chair and the production of reports and research results.
The value of the postdoctoral scholarship is R$9,047.50 (nine thousand and forty-seven reais and fifty cents), for a period of 12 months. The scholarship requires exclusive dedication and cannot be combined with other scholarships, whether from public or private institutions, in Brazil or abroad. Furthermore, the scholarship holder is prohibited from accumulating the scholarship with remuneration from other professional services.
