On May 19, 2021, at 10:00 am, the IEAT held the webinar Vacina, Biopoder e História, with the participation of Professor Myriam Bahia Lopes from the School of Architecture at UFMG, and the guests, the doctor Paulo Gadelha from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ ) and cartoonist and saxophonist Renato Aroeira.
The book Inscribed Bodies: Vaccine and Biopower. London and Rio de Janeiro, 1840 and 1904 proposes to study the history of smallpox vaccination as the first campaign to form public opinion on a planetary scale.
