Harold Walter Kroto (Harry Kroto) is a British chemist, awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1996, along with two other researchers, for the discovery of fullerenes and carbon nanotubes. Most of his teaching career was spent at the University of Sussex, in England. Currently, Kroto teaches at Florida State University and conducts research in nanoscience and nanotechnology, dedicating part of his time and efforts to scientific dissemination through the Vega Foundation in England.
