The Research Groups Program of the Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies at UFMG is open for enrollment from July 17 to October 5, 2023.
This call will support two research groups of a transdisciplinary nature, already existing or to be constituted at UFMG, characterized by the excellence of the researchers and the advanced nature of the works, focused on the current challenges of knowledge. In addition to supporting the groups, the call aims to encourage the approach of researchers who develop work with transdisciplinary potential, articulating a set of themes from different areas of knowledge.
Approved research groups will receive support from the IEAT for a period of two years, starting in the 1st semester of 2024. Entries must be made via the email address editais@ieat.ufmg.br until October 5, 2023.
Nominations can be made by researchers with a permanent link at UFMG, with recognized scientific experience. The group of researchers should include UFMG professors, permanent, volunteer or emeritus, working in at least two major areas of distinct knowledge: Humanities, Letters and Arts; Life Sciences (including Health) and Natural Sciences (including Technology) and may incorporate external members to UFMG.
Projects approved by the IEAT Steering Committee will receive support from the Institute in raising funds from development agencies and other bodies, internal and external to UFMG, and will receive a nomination for a Scientific Initiation scholarship from the Dean of Research, provided that this request is included in the proposal submitted to the IEAT.
Likewise, the IEAT may assist in the organization and dissemination of events, such as lectures and seminars, provided that the planned activities are related to the submitted project. In addition, approved research groups will have priority in the submission of books to the IEAT Collection at Editora UFMG and in the nomination of names for the Cátedras Program.
The result will be announced on December 15, 2023 by letter to candidates and through the Institute’s communication channels.
