On November 1st, professor Menga Lüdke, Emeritus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ), will be at UFMG to give the conference Place of internship in teacher training.
The activity will take place in the Nobre auditorium of the Center for Didactic Activities 1 (CAD1) at UFMG, from 7pm to 10pm. Participation certificates will be issued. Registration must be made through the UFMG Event Management system.
Considered one of the greatest authorities in Brazil and Latin America on the issue of internships in teacher training, professor Menga Lüdke will present reflections based on results from international research on the theoretical-practical moments in which teachers in training remain in direct contact with the concrete reality of schools. Through this research, she will discuss the role of internships in teacher training, emphasizing the importance of this practice in the processes of socialization in the teaching profession and in the construction of professional teaching knowledge.
The event integrates the activities of the Fundep “Magda Soares” Chair in Basic Education and also the II Comfic/Collicen Debate Cycle of the Undergraduate Degree Courses. Supporting the event is the Committee for Discussion and Elaboration of Initial and Continuing Training Policies for Basic Education Teachers at UFMG (Comfic), the Special Collegiate of Degrees (Collicen) and the Dean of Undergraduate Studies at UFMG (Prograd).
According to professor Júlio Emílio Diniz Pereira, coordinator of the Chair, the event marks the beginning of a new stage of presentation and discussion activities on UFMG’s institutional teacher training policy.
