Antonio Pinelli is a retired professor at the University of Firenze Studies. His vast work and research deals with issues of time, the constitution of memory, souvenirs, the transit of objects, collecting, migration and the occupation of the imagination by secular and religious powers. He also studies Baroque art, the migration from paganism to the Renaissance and the art of memory. He currently teaches at the annual Specialization Course that takes place once a year in several European cities. He is considered one of the greatest experts on the Italian Renaissance in the world.
