Maurizio Serva is Associate Professor of Physics and Mathematics at the Department of Engineering and Computer Science and Mathematics (DISIM) at the University of L’Aquila, Italy. He received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Physics at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome (1984) and a doctorate at the University of Bielefeld (1990). Currently, his research fields are related to: Reaction-diffusion models in Physics and Biology, Classical and Quantum Statistical Mechanics in networks and fractals, Non-Markovian Random Walks. He has experience in the following fields of research: Nelson’s Stochastic Mechanics, Stochastic representation of Hamiltonian semigroups, Fundamentals of Quantum Mechanics and classical limit, Dynamical systems and information theory, Statistical Mechanics of disordered systems, Stochastic models in Finance, Epidemic and evolution models in Biology, Quantitative Linguistics. He is the author of 101 scientific articles in journals with international circulation, as well as the author of articles in conference proceedings and scientific dissemination. It has 1250 citations and its h-index is 18 (Google Scholar, December 2015).
