There are 79.5 million forcibly displaced people in the world according to the latest “Global Trends” report by UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, and of these, more than 77% are in situations of long-term displacement. Eight out of ten refugees are in developing countries and two thirds of the displaced people on the planet come from five countries: Syria, Venezuela, Afghanistan, South Sudan and Myanmar. The webinar sought to address the increase in the number of refugees in the world.

Speakers: Professor Maria Papadopoulou, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece, Professor Daniel Morales from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, in Mexico, Professor Marcelo Naputano from the Federal University of Roraima and Jenny González Muñoz, visiting professor at the School of Fine Arts at UFMG.
