The UFMG IEAT’s Resident Professor Program has 6 (six) positions destined to UFMG’s researchers and professors. Applications should be submitted from August 20 to November 16, 2022.
Currently active, emeritus, or retired professors developing voluntary activities at UFMG with contribution to the formation of humanity and productivity in activities are all eligible to join the Program. The proposals can be submitted individually or by two professors.
The approved will receive support of IEAT to develop advanced and transdisciplinary research during one year, from April 4, 2023 to April 3, 2024. In case of changes in the academic calendar, these dates can be altered.
During the residency development, the approved researchers will have the opportunity to work with each other and to teach a transdisciplinary course related to their research for graduate and undergraduate students.
Registrations must be made exclusively through the electronic address editais@ieat.ufmg.br until November 16, 2022.
The results will be available January 20, 2023.
About the Program’s requirements and provisions
Logistic support is provided to the resident, through IEAT’s office, as well as, within the Institute budget constraints, travel tickets and daily support to participate in events listed in the project. Priority will be given to the residents for publication of works derived from residence projects in IEAT’s Collection at Editora UFMG, as well as priority, in the event of a tie in selection process, in the indication of names for the FUNDEP IEAT Chair program.
As a novelty, this call will award a Scientific Initiation grant to approved residents who include this provision in the research project. During a residency, the Department of the approved candidate will be eligible for up to two complementations in the form of academic scholarships for graduate students to contribute with the teaching activities of the resident.
