A Proposal from the Observatory of Human Resources in Health at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at UFMG

The general objective of the Group is to present the different approaches and methodologies used in the field of health assessment, with a view to creating a common matrix for approaching problems of a complex nature.

It is intended to (i) elaborate a bank of evaluation models for the development of comparative studies between national and international realities through teaching and student flow in the scope of qualification and scientific research among the participating institutions;

(ii) build an analysis model that allows associating how the theoretical dimensions approached have been moving in terms of applicability and dynamics of the evaluation in different perspectives and specificities of health;

(iii) develop a set of scientific works (articles, master’s dissertations, doctoral theses) related to the theme, considering the involvement of undergraduate and graduate students in the project, with the consequent directing of their inquiries to this area of interest;

(iv) increase and consolidate bilateral relations with universities, research centers and institutions, notably those with a history in this debate and which have researchers involved in this IEAT Call;

(v) Allowing the involvement and participation of professors and researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, enabling them to experience a research project. This provides the necessary incentive to carry out postgraduate courses and further research, contributing decisively to the formation of qualified human resources in emerging themes in the country;

(vi) Seek greater interaction with health managers in order to bring ongoing experiences closer to the necessary reflections in the field of ideas and their possible application.
