Our general objective is to investigate the theme of graduates based on the articulation of research carried out by eight research groups from different UFMG Units. It is important to highlight that each group maintains its independence and undertakes to construct, through a cross-disciplinary approach, a complex approach to the issue of graduates. Thus, the group welcomes and encourages the methodological and theoretical diversity of investigations by both undergraduate and graduate graduates. The follow-up of graduates allows knowing the trajectories, insertions and professional actions of graduates and also allows the collection of essential information for updating the curricular matrices of the graduates’ courses of origin. In the context of undergraduate courses, it is important to highlight that the National Higher Education Assessment System (Sinaes) points to the analysis of graduates as an important instrument for assessing the quality of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). In the National Postgraduate Plan (PNPG 2011-2020), the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) points out that the monitoring of graduates is an excellent indicator of the quality of Postgraduate Programs. Our main expectation is to contribute to the expansion of the theoretical and practical framework of the theme of graduates. The Project is made up of the following groups:

  • Study Group on Higher Education (GEES) – Faculty of Education – FAE
  • Information and Imaginary Studies Office (GEDII) – School of Information Science – ECI
